A Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is time to start again with our feet running. Summer break always flies by quickly, but it is always nice to have a long break and do something fun with friends and families. I welcome each of your students back with open arms and look forward to a fantastic school year. This year, our sixth-grade students will start each morning in their assigned homerooms. After the first homeroom period, they will rotate as a whole classroom to four other teachers.

In other news, we welcome these new staff members: Valon Standerfer - 6th grade science, Johanna Lundberg - 6th grade reading, Brandie Means - resource, Stephanie Woodside - instructional aide, and Lindsey Owen - instructional aide.

Great news: The school board approved the purchase of new desks and chairs. They should be here by the end of August.

Lastly, I cannot emphasize enough about school attendance. Our staff works hard to educate your students, but if they are absent or tardy, we are not able to give them our most. Please schedule appointments after school if possible and have your students to school on time. We now begin each day with Daily Math Skills (DMS) and it starts promptly at 7:55 a.m. Thank you all for giving us the privilege of educating the youth of our community.
