Welcome to the online home of Snowflake Intermediate School! Set in Navajo County in eastern Arizona, we are a secondary school serving students in grades 4–6. We offer an excellent academic curriculum and a variety of extracurricular programs for our students, and we boast a full staff of highly qualified teachers as well as an active and thriving PTSO program.

To learn more about all our wonderful school has to offer, we invite you to take a few moments to browse our website. If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact us on the phone or in person.

A Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Quarter one is over, and the new desks have arrived. All the students and staff came back from fall break to new student desks and chairs. I was excited and so were the students. If you have a minute, come by the school and check them out. Also, our new marquee is up and running. What a difference that makes to the front entrance of the Snowflake Intermediate School. Our students and staff worked very hard the first quarter, and I am pleased with their efforts. We anticipate good news when the state report card comes out in November. Another “A” label would be great.

Calendar items:

  • Monday, November 4, 2019 - Hoop Shoot competition begins
  • Monday, November 11, 2019 - No school - Veterans Day
  • Wednesday through Friday, November 27–29, 2019 - No school - Thanksgiving break
  • Wednesday, December 4, 2019 - School spelling bee
  • Monday, December 23, 2019, through Friday, January 3, 2020 - No school - Christmas break

Lastly, I emphasize again the importance of regular school attendance and being to school on time. Our staff works hard to educate your students, but if they are absent or tardy we are not able to give them our most. Please schedule appointments after school if possible and have your students to school on time. We now begin each day with daily math skills (DMS), and it starts promptly at 7:55 a.m.

Thank you all for giving us the privilege of educating the youth of our community.
