A Message from Our Principal

Greetings, Snowflake Intermediate Little Lobos!

Welcome back Little Lobos. Summer break came and went way too fast. I hope each of you had some quality time off. We are having a year-end activity again this year. We are going to the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course. To qualify, each student must meet the following criteria:

  • No F's on any report card (does not include progress reports).
  • No more than ten tardies over the school year.
  • No more than ten absences over the school year (illness will be considered on an individual basis).
  • No more than two office referrals over the school year.
  • No more than one suspension over the school year.
  • A generally good attitude and desire to learn.

The Extreme Adventure trip is planned for the last week of May. We hope to get support from parents, guardians, and students to make this happen for our students.

Some of the upcoming events include the following:

  • August 6, 2018 - Meet the teacher night. Gather in the high school auditorium at 5:00 p.m.
  • August 8, 2018 - First day of school. The first bell is at 7:50 a.m., and the tardy bell is at 7:55 a.m.
  • August 24, 2018 - Staff in-service. No school for students.
  • September 3, 2018 - No school for Labor Day.

We welcome the following to our staff:

  • Michelle Petersen - 4th grade teacher
  • Sheri Rhoton - 5th grade teacher
  • Greg Adams - 6th grade teacher
  • David Alexander - SPED teacher
  • Gabrielle Little, Nicole Bateman, and Alizabeth Shaw - Instructional aides
  • Connie Begay - Custodial

For your information, our students scored well on the AzMERIT standardized test. Many students showed student growth from last year’s test including 15 students who jumped up two levels from last year. Congratulations to all the students, staff, and parents for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Kim Lewis
