A Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I just want to start by thanking you all for your help and support during this trying time. As of now, all schools in the Snowflake/Taylor School District are closed until April 10. We will be communicating with each of you concerning any further closures if necessary.

Here are a few things that might help. Students will receive a packet of work weekly to do at home and then return. If you requested a paper copy of the work, you can pick it up at Snowflake Intermediate between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Monday through Friday.  A homework drop off box is located in front of the office. Please make sure students put their name (first and last), along with their teacher’s name, on their work before returning. You can also pick up 3E snacks at the school during this same time period.

Breakfast and lunch meals are available for pick up at Highland Primary between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Monday through Friday. Students must be present to get the meals, and anyone 18 and under qualifies for these meals.

Additional pick-up areas for meals are at the following locations (Pick-up times are the same as school locations):

  • Hay Hollow and Concho Highway
  • Appaloosa and Concho Highway
  • Bourdon Ranch Road and Mazatzal
  • Freeman Hollow Road and Rencher

Students can check out library books through either the school library by calling (928) 536-4156, ext. 7120 or the Snowflake/Taylor Public Library at (928) 536-7103, ext. 3.

We are grateful for our committed staff who are working hard to provide meals and educational opportunities for our students while the schools are closed. Thank you to the parents and students for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through the challenges of the school closures.

Sincerely,

Kim Lewis
